FMS Delhi records 100% placement and 37 first time recruiters for the year 2014

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), recently released it placement report which was quite positive .First of all it reported 100% placement.

It stated that the institute had received a total of 212 offers for a batch of 205 students ensuring 100% placements. A total of 107 companies visited the campus, including 37 first-time recruiters.

The average salary of top 50% offers made was Rs 19 lakh per annum. The average salary of packages of all the students was Rs 16.18 lakh per annum.

Among domains and functions, sales and marketing profiles continued to dominate, constituting 33% of total offers followed by finance (20%) consulting (18%) and general management (13%). MH Alshaya and Tata Elxsi were first time recruiters for sales and marketing who offered international postings to students. Cognizant Business Consulting and Infosys Management Consulting visited the campus for the first time while Avalon Consulting offered the students a role in front-end strategy consulting.

At 62, lateral placement offers doubled compared to last year. 45% of the candidates participating in the process had greater than 18 months of work-experience and were part of the lateral placement process. PPOs accounted for a fifth of the offers made. Reliance Industries emerged as the largest recruiter for the general management profiles. Niche profiles in this domain include the position of deputy general manager, strategy offered by Videocon.

Deloitte USI and Deloitte India made 12 offers at FMS, collectively making them the largest recruiters in this year’s process.
