Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad has invited applications form interested and eligible candidates for admission to its postgraduate programmes, for the academic year 2014-15.
About: The Indian School of Mines, a prestigious educational institute of India, was established by British India Government on the lines of the Royal School of Mines. The institute was formally inaugurated on December 9, 1926 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India.ISM admits undergraduate students from the top 0.5 per cent rankers out of the 1.4 million candidates who appear for IIT-JEE Advanced Examination.
The PG programmes are offered in:
- Master of Technology (M.Tech)
- Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D)
For M.Tech:Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60 per cent of marks from a recognised university.
For Ph.D:Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55 per cent of marks from a recognised university.
The final selection of the candidate for admission to the said postgraduate programme will be based on his or her performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.
