Mica, India’s premier B-School in strategic marketing and communication, has registered 100% placement for its 19th batch of PGDM-Communications students.
The total number of students registered for the placement process “MICAlibre” were 153 out of 156.
A total of 85 companies had visited the campus for the placements process. The average CTC offered was Rs 9.3 lakh whereas the highest salary offered was Rs 23 lakh rupees. This was slightly higher than the last year which was Rs 19.6 lakh rupees.
There were students who acquired international placement.
Companies: – Cognizant Interactive was the highest recruiter among brands like Google, Amazon, P&G, L’Oreal, Axis Bank, Colgate Palmolive, E & Y, Publicis, BBH and Mahindra. Around 19 Micans were placed in PPOs before the start of the placements itself; the average salary here was Rs 10.05 lakh.
This year first time the institute offered specialization in ‘digital communication management’. The 19th batch of PGDM-Communications was the first one to study this course. Moreover, MICA is the only institute offering this specialization.
Mica has achieved 100% placement yet again. This goes to show that even during a slump, excellence is always valued. The highest rise in hiring was by digital companies,” said Dr Nagesh Rao, director, Mica.
Interestingly, Mica’s first-year students saw a surge in summer internships, specially in the digital and e-commerce segment. The highest internship package offered was Rs 75,000 a month.
