IIM-A’s new PGPX (Executive Course) batch comprises of 15% female students


Post graduate programme in Management for Executive (PGPX) is a one year full time course. This year is the ninth batch and it is reported that 15.29% of the batch comprises of female students.

This year IIMA gets 13 women students out of total 85 students that joined PGPX 2014-15 on Sunday. This year students has industry mix from various backgrounds like education, energy/power, financial services, FMCG, government services, healthcare, industrial/procession & automation, infrastructure, IT & IT services, law, management consultancy, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing process, media, NGOs, telecome and defense.

The batch has profile with average GMAT score of 705, average age of around 34 years, average total work experience of 10 years and average international work experience of 3 years. The PGPX was introduced first in 2006 and till date nearly 646 students have graduated from the programme.

In terms of academic background, 17.65% have obtained their degrees from outside their home country, while 40% have a higher qualification other than bachelor degree. Nearly 84% are engineers and 21% have graduated from IIT/NITs.
