State Bank of India announces the recruitment of Probationary Officers (P.O). SBI PO exam is conducted by the Central Recruitment Board of State Bank Group every year for the recruitment of the aspiring candidates as PO in SBI.
Mode of Exam: The exam will be written and tentatively be conducted in June 2014. However, the online registration has started for the same.
Online registration: 7th April – 25th April, 2014
Selection Process: The Selection Process will depend on Written Exam and Group Discussion.
Written Exam: The exam is distributed in two parts (i) Objective Test and (ii) Descriptive Test
The objective test will be of 2 hours. It will consist of 4 sections, with 50 questions each, as follows:
(a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The descriptive test will be of 50 marks and will be a test of English Language (Comprehension, short precis, letter writing and essay)
Phase 2 will consist of a Group Discussion of 20 marks and an Interview of 30 marks.
The final selection will be based on performance in both Phase -I and Phase –II
The Candidate appearing foe the test should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is as per rules for specified categories including SC/ST/OBC etc.
The candidate must be either a citizen of India or one holding eligibility certificates issued by the Government of India.
