Admissions for M.Tech and M Des admissions 2014 open.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur applications are available for admission to its Master of Technology and Master of Design courses. Although admissions are available without a GATE score, a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score is required for applying for financial assistance.

M. Tech specializations available are: Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bio-Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Management,, Industrial and Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Science Programme, Nuclear Engineering and Technology, Photonics Science and Engineering

 

Eligibility-

 

Master of Technology (M. Tech)

Candidate should have completed a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or a Masters Degree in Science with minimum 55 per cent aggregate marks.

 

Master of Design (M Des)

Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Design or Architecture with minimum 55 percent aggregate marks.

Note: Candidates with degrees in Fine Arts or Interior Designing are not eligible for the M Des course.

 

How to apply-

Eligible candidates can apply online for the desired course. After duly filling in the online application, send a print out with photocopies of relevant certificates/documents, passport size photograph and a demand draft in amount of application fees to the concerned Department.

 

Application fees-

  • General/OBC candidates: Rs 400
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates:    Rs 200                

Last date for application is April 17, 2014.
