The Indian Institute of Management, Shillong (IIMS) completed its placement process for the graduating batch of 2014. The placements however turn out to be good.
Highest international package offered to the students of IIM Shillong this year stood at Rs 37 lakh, whereas highest domestic package stood at Rs 22 lakh.

53 Companies offered 107 students of the current batch of IIM-Shillong.
The average package went up from the last year and stood at Rs 12.49 lakh.
18% of the batch already had Pre-Placement Offers (PPO’s) for their outstanding performance during their summer internships.
Only two students did not participate in the process in order to follow paths different from their batch mates.
While one would be joining family business, the other student would pursue a career in development sector by participating in the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow Scheme, an initiative by Government of India to work towards the betterment of marginalized groups in the disadvantaged regions of the country.
