The results show that Shubhankar Mihir Seth of Brightlands School in Dehradun scored 98.4% in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination this year, and was the topper from Dehradun.
He made his parents feel proud by topping in the examination. On this occasion, his proud father said that their son has made them feel proud and also the parents had tried to make sure that their son excels in everything. And now he has proven himself not only in academics but also in sports.
Shubhankar has represented the state in basketball, and is a national level swimmer. When asked, he says he want to become an engineer.
Neetu Nangia is the teacher who teaches physics at the Brightlands School feels that their students excel because of the hard work and the meticulous teaching from the best faculty in the town.
Because after Shubhankar, Saanjhi Rawat with 97.8% and Arpita Mitter with 97.6%, from the same school, are also among this year’s toppers.
At St Joseph’s Academy, 107 students scored more than 90%. Abhinav Kothari scored 97%, and said he would take to journalism.
Japneet Kaur Saluja of Ranchi, Jharkhand, topped Welham Girl’s school with an aggregate 97%, and 100% in Mathematics. More than half the 81 girls who took the ICSE examination from the school scored over 90% marks.
Anvay Grover, with 96.4%, was Doon School’s topper.
