Last date to register for design courses at M.S University is tomorrow

M.S.University, Baroda is a teaching and residential university and the only university in Gujarat with medium of instruction as English for all courses. India Today has ranked it at tenth place in their list of India’s best universities

The courses are offered by the Maharaja Ranjitsinh Gaekwad Institute of Design which has been established at Faculty of Fine Arts with the aim to impart education in the field of design.

Course Outline-

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is a four years, eight semesters, degree programme which encompasses a wide array of design fundamentals pertinent to various domains like craft and design, ceramic and glass, accessory design, moving images and communication design. Each domain has intake capacity of 20 and admission into this course is based on the entrance test which comprises of practical test, written test, workshop and personal interview.

Eligibility-

Candidates who have passed HSc (general or science stream) as a regular student with minimum of 50 % of marks in aggregate with English as one of the subject are eligible to apply for this course. Candidates, awaiting results and mark sheets can also register for the admission.

Important dates-

The online registration for admission to Bachelor of Design and Master of Design courses offered by MS University’s Faculty of Fine Arts will close on June 20.

The entrance test for admission to these courses will be held from July 2 to July 5 at Faculty of Fine Arts from 9am onwards.

Future-

M Des, on the other hand, is a two years, four semesters integrated programme with intake capacity of 20.
