Delhi University will introduce a one year LLB programme from the coming year 2015-16. The approval has been received for the course and they look forward to getting approval for courses for Forensic courses.
In the next, Saturday’s Academic Council meeting approval will also be sought for forensic course at undergraduate level and post graduate level. The post-grad level course will be similar to the LLB one four year synced into one.
Apart from all this, seeking approval for the revised course structure for MBA, M.Com and proposed course on advanced communicative algebra for MPhil/ pre-PhD course work, the university will also seek approval for the forensic science courses and LLM course.
To adhere to the rules, University Grants Commission had issued guidelines for introduction of the one-year LLM programme in January 2013.
Meanwhile, DU Teachers’ Association is leading a joint action programme to protest the Academic Council’s agenda and demanding a rollback of FYUP. It will hold a dharna with student groups at 8.30 am on Saturday in front of the VC’s office.
ABVP and DUSU will also hold protests against FYUP. Student activists will march to the VC’s office at 9 am on Saturday. NSUI will stage a demonstration at 12.30 pm outside the academic council meeting venue.
