The second merit list for admissions in the first year degree course were out on Saturday. However, there is a dip in this list by 2-3% as compared to the first list and many colleges, this year had a higher cut-offs in the second merit list as compared to the last year’s second merit list.
The cut-offs for professional courses were higher. Due to their popularity, the courses like Bachelor of Accounting and Finance, Bachelor of Management Studies and Bachelor of Mass Media had higher cut-off marks. The vice-principal of Jai Hind college informs that the cut offs of these courses remain high due to their popularity.
On the other hand, a few colleges like Xavier’s saw a dip in the cut-offs. Fr Frazer Mascarenhas, principal, St Xaviers’ College, Fort said shares that the cut-off for the second list this year is lesser as compared to 2013, especially in their college because students with a high percentage did not turn up for admissions as Delhi University admissions are yet to start.
The third list will be announced on June 24th.
