The university is set to come up on 446 acres of land at Rajgir, 10km from the site of the ancient university in Nalanda, about 100km southeast of Patna.
The academic session of the University this year is going to start from September 1. The sessions will start in two schools- School of Historical Sciences and School of Environment and Ecology as per an official.
This year the college gets more than 1000 applications from foreign students. The applications were from 40 different countries. The university has received application for admission from the US, Russia, England, Spain, Germany, Japan, Myanmar, Austria, Sri Lanka and West Asian and South East Asian countries.
But, as per an official, this year only 20 students will be selected in each of two schools. And as far as the faculties are concerned, six faculty members each for the two schools have been appointed. They are from New Zealand, England, the US, Singapore and other countries.
