As we all know, the placement season is going on in most of the engineering and management institutes. According to a newspaper, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which is an undergraduate college under Delhi University that bears the pride of admitting only the top scorers, has brought in an annual average package of Rs 6 lakh for its students. SRCC offers only two programmes at the undergraduate level – B.Com (Honours) and Economics (Honours).
The highest package this year is expected to be around Rs 15 lakh.
According to B.K. Goyal, faculty-in-charge of placements in SRCC, 40 students are already placed and around five or six companies have visited the campus.
Profiles offered to the students from banking and other financial companies were consulting, risk management and several other profiles. Goyal further shared that the highest package once recorded for an overseas offer was about Rs 32 lakh.
Last year the college placed 325 students and this year they aim to place around 450 students. The college has placements in three phases, one during August-September, the next during December-January and the final one during April-May, before the last semester examinations begin.
