Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is a group of management and engineering institutes, having 16 institutes located in different parts of India. The IITs award degrees ranging from B.Tech to PhD.
Getting admission in IIT requires clearing exams like IIT-JEE and joint entrance exams. IIT has been considered as one of the best learning institutes. Recently, IIT situated in Delhi decides to bring some changes in its curriculum to bring itself at par with the World’s best and contemporary business management.
Therefore, IIT-Delhi is most likely to introduce a new and revised curriculum which will be implemented from the academic session 2015. This time the premier technical institute decides to provide students with a plethora of options in terms of the elective courses and learning methods as said by the Chairman and board of Governor of IIT Guwahati, R.P.Singh.
Acknowledging the stakeholders interest during a consultation workshop, the Institute aimed to update the curriculum and match it with the latest and best in business management education. Post the workshop, an announcement was made to review and make changes in the MBA curriculum.
The workshop focused on developing content that caters to the demand and interests of the industry. It also aimed at obtaining specific inputs in specific functional areas including information technology and informatics as stated by IIT Delhi in a daily newspaper.
