Applications are invited for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main for the next session. Moreover, the exam is scheduled to be held on April 4, 2015 for which the last Date for submitting applications online is December 18, 2014.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination conducted to provide admission in various engineering courses. The entrance examination is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Candidates who clear IIT-JEE main examination are eligible to appear for IIT-JEE advance which provides and entry to IITs.
The JEE main -2015 exam will have two papers-
- Paper 1- (B.E/ B.tech)
- Paper 2- (B.Arch/ B. Planning)
The exam is objective based and the weightage is equal to physics, chemistry and mathematics.
The paper will be objective in nature with questions to test drawing aptitude.
The examination fee at the time of registration can be paid either through debit card/credit card or through E-challan generated on successful completion of the application.

Earlier, the exam was conducted as a common test for all. After an announcement by CBSE in 2012, the entrance examination is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Candidates who clear IIT-JEE main examination are eligible to appear for IIT-JEE advance which provides and entry to IITs.
The candidates can appear for a maximum of three times for this engineering entrance exam. Around 13 lakh students appeared for JEE Main examination in 2014. The examination is conducted jointly by IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay.
